How do I transfer money member to member?

To transfer money to another Volt Credit Union member, follow these steps:
  1. Log in and go to your Dashboard.
  2. Enter your password when prompted.
  3. Select + New Member Transfer.
  4. Enter the recipient’s information:
    If you’re unsure which Share ID to use, 00 (Share Savings) is a safe option and will locate the member’s account.
    • Member Name: First 3 letters of their last name
    • Member Number
    • Type: Share or Loan
    • ID: The 2-digit Share or Loan ID
      • 00 = Share Savings (every Volt member has this account)
      • 09 = Checking (if applicable)
      • Loan ID = Listed on the your statement
  5. (Optional) Check Save for future use and enter a Nickname if you’d like to save this recipient for future transfers.
  6. Tap Next to continue and complete your transfer.
  7. The “Transferring to” line with the words “Edit Recipient” will tell you who you’re sending to
  8. Tap on “Select account” next to From and select the share you’d like to transfer FROM. Enter the amount you’d like to transfer in the amount box.
  9. Select your desired frequency from the list. (If you’d like to set up a recurring transfer, tap “Once” next to frequency to pull up the frequency options) The Date box allows you to schedule the transfer go on a date in the future, or if you scheduled the transfer to be recurring will allow you to select the date you’d like that transfer to start. To have the transfer go immediately, leave that at Soonest Available.
  10. Review all the information for your transfer. To edit the payment click Edit. Click “Submit” to finalize your transfer.
Important: If any of the information entered doesn’t match our records exactly, you’ll receive an error message and will need to verify the member’s information before trying again.
