We're Moving!
Tampa Street Operations Are Being Moved To Kearney And Kansas Expressway!
Volt Credit Union will announce Thursday, July 23rd that we will be selling our property located at 815 W Tampa St. The Victim Center, a local nonprofit, approached us about purchasing that building space and turning it into their headquarters. We have evaluated the benefits of the sale, and have decided it is a great opportunity for us to expand our operations. Not only will this move increase the Credit Union’s visibility on the North side of town, but it will allow The Victim Center to increase their efforts in serving victims of violence and its coinciding trauma in our community. The repurposing of our Tampa St location will provide the Victim Center with much more space to work with and increase their capacity to serve.
The sale of our Tampa St. property is a strong step in our strategic growth plan, which truly benefits our membership. The process puts us in a position to open a new branch on Kansas Expressway near Kearney. With this new branch we will be able to provide you with the unrivaled Volt Experience that we pride ourselves on. This means an updated lobby area with more technology and amenities for our members and staff. This move will also allow us to become more visible to our members and potential members on the North side of town. We expect that this visibility will help us to grow our membership which will allow us to continue offering low interest rates and high deposit rates. This expected growth will put us in a position to explore future expansion opportunities.
We have already finalized the sale of the Tampa location as well as secured a new location on Kansas Expressway near Kearney. The Tampa Branch will remain open throughout the construction/remodeling phase of the new Kansas Expressway location, or until the end of 2020. Members will be able to bank at the Tampa St location until then, and are also welcome to visit the Republic Rd location (less than four miles away), or explore Volt’s online, mobile and telephone banking options. Once the new branch is finished, we will move our Tampa St operations and staff to Kansas Expressway and Tampa St will officially close.
Throughout this process, our very top priority will be to continue to deliver the same level of quality service that you have come to expect from Volt, which is why we are committed to providing you with two full-service locations throughout its entirety. We will make sure to keep you, and the entire Springfield community, updated as the construction process progresses and we will celebrate when the branch is finished.
If you have any questions, you’re welcome to stop by or give us a call at 417-862-0471. You can also send me an email at lr****@vo****.org .
We are here to provide answers to your questions, and, as always, superior products and services for all of your financial needs.

I am glad to see this move as the Republic Road one is too far and the Tampa St one is downtow; however I wish you would consider a branch east of Glenstone near E. Chestnut or E. Sunhine in the future. I do have access to the Mercy Credit Union on Sunshine for deposits and withdrawals, but it is not like actually knowing one’s credit union and personnel. The move to Kansas and Kearney certainly will give Volt more advisability and I’m sure will increase customers.
I agree with Carol. Both of the new locations are on the west side of town. An office on the east side would be great.
