Our members say it best!

Kendra at the Kansas branch helped me set up savings accounts for our boys. She was so kind, knowledgeable and professional.

A great place to bank, but honestly it is the customer service from tellers like Kimberlin and Joyce that keep me here. They are so sweet, helpful, kind and just generally amazing.

Frequently asked questions

  • To open an account, you will need the following:

    • Valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport).
    • Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
    • Proof of current address (such as a utility bill, lease agreement, or mortgage).
    • $5 deposit -you can open a Savings Account with as little as $5, which also makes you a member of Volt Credit Union.
  • Our Savings Accounts have minimal fees and no strict minimum balance requirements, making it easy to save without extra costs.

  • Interest is typically compounded and paid monthly, helping your savings grow steadily over time!

  • Yes! You have easy access to your funds through online and mobile banking, as well as at any Volt Credit Union branch.

  • A Coverdell Education Savings Account (ESA) is a tax-advantaged account designed to help families save for qualified education expenses, including K-12 and college costs.

  • Anyone can contribute on behalf of a beneficiary under age 18, but contributions must stop when the beneficiary turns 18 (unless they have special needs).

  • An ACH withdrawal (Automated Clearing House debit) is an electronic transfer that allows Volt Credit Union to automatically withdraw funds from your checking or savings account to make loan payments or other scheduled transfers.

To set this up, you must complete the ACH Origination Authorization Form.

The form should be submitted at least 10 days before the first scheduled withdrawal to allow time for processing. Once approved, your payments will be automatically deducted according to the schedule you selected.

If you ever wish to cancel or change your ACH withdrawal, you must provide written notice to Volt Credit Union with enough time for the change to be processed before your next scheduled payment. If a payment attempt fails due to insufficient funds or incorrect account information, you may incur fees and will need to resolve the issue before the ACH option can continue.

For questions or assistance, please contact Volt Credit Union directly.

  • We don’t offer money orders — but we do provide cashier’s checks!

A cashier’s check is guaranteed by Volt, not by the person writing it. That means it’s extra secure and perfect for larger transactions like buying a car or putting down a home deposit.

    There’s a small $2.50 fee for each cashier’s check.
