Our Holiday Skip-A-Pay 2025 program lets qualified members skip one monthly loan payment during the month of your choice, giving you more financial flexibility during one of the busiest times of the year.
How Does It Work?
Holiday Skip-A-Pay allows you to defer one monthly payment on each eligible loan. If you have multiple loans at Volt, you can skip a payment on each one!
1. Complete a Skip Form
Pick up your Skip-A-Pay form at any Volt Credit Union branch or download it online.

2. Bring the Form & Fee
Return your completed form along with the required processing fee* to any Volt location. Once received, Volt will defer your payment for the month you choose.

Important Details to Keep in Mind
Before you head to your local Volt branch, be sure to review these key details:
Eligibility Requirements
Loans must be at least six months old and in good standing. If you’re unsure whether your loan qualifies, our staff can review it with you in person or over the phone.
Payment Plans
- Loans with bi-weekly payments may skip up to two bi-weekly payments in a single month.
- Loans with weekly payments may skip up to four weekly payments in a single month.
Limitations
- Loans such as credit cards, Mortgages, and HELOCs aren’t eligible.
- Skipped payments are not covered by GAP and may reduce GAP benefits.
- Past delinquencies or bankruptcy may affect eligibility. Full details can be found on the Skip Form.
Direct Deposit Payments
If your loan payment comes through payroll deduction, your skipped payment amount will automatically be deposited into your Volt Credit Union account—perfect for extra holiday spending at local Springfield shops, restaurants, and holiday markets.
Don’t Wait—Submit Your Form Early
Holiday Skip-A-Pay is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. All signed requests (plus the processing fee) must be submitted at least 10 days before your upcoming loan payment due date.
Submitting early ensures your Skip-A-Pay is processed in time, especially during the busy holiday season in the Ozarks.
