The Buddha might have said something very similar, but it’s the perfect description of our 85,000 Moments of Impact campaign at Volt Credit Union.
What does it mean to impact 85,000 people? For us, that means more than half of Springfield’s population. We can make it happen! In today’s blog from Volt Credit Union, we are Paying it forward to The Connecting Grounds.
Paying it Forward to The Connecting Grounds
What started this spark was a cold snap and rolling brownouts that Springfield experienced a few weeks back. It resulted in a burst pipe that flooded the entire first floor – including the Lobby at our Volt location on Republic rd.
Loretta Roney, President and CEO of Volt Credit Union could have focused on the misfortune of what happened but instead knew other people were struggling during this time, which is why she turned to The Connecting Grounds. They’re a local group committed to serving the needs of the homeless and the underprivileged in our community. The Connecting Grounds were going through their struggles with frozen pipes and desperately trying to help the homeless find warm places to stay during the dangerously cold weather. They have a deep passion to clothe, feed, care for, and provide support and compassion to those experiencing need.
We here at Volt, and the help from you, can help The Connecting Grounds in a big way! We are going to match all donations up to $1000 to the VoltFoundation. 100% of the donations will be going to The Connecting Grounds, so they can keep helping the homeless and underprivileged in our community.
